Located at lots F9, F10, and part of lot F11 in the Dong Pho Moi Industrial Zone, Pho Moi Ward, Lao Cai City, Lao Cai Province, Dong Pho Moi Inland Port spans 50,000 m² and is developed by VIMC Logistics Joint Stock Company.
The Ministry of Transport has issued Decision No. 1549/QD-BGTVT to open the port in Lao Cai Province officially.
The inland port was established to facilitate operations, offer logistics services, and process import-export procedures in line with Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP dated April 4, 2017, as well as investment and business registration certificates issued by competent authorities.
VIMC Logistics Joint Stock Company, as the project developer, is responsible for fulfilling its duties and exercising its rights as an inland port operator in compliance with Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP and other applicable laws.
The company is required to ensure that port operations only commence after all necessary procedures have been completed in full compliance with regulations. Operations must align with the intended investment phases and purposes, while meeting standards for safety, security, fire prevention, and environmental protection.
The decision further outlines the developer’s obligation to maintain and operate all structures and facilities as announced, strictly adhering to current laws. Any modifications, expansions, or changes in usage must be reported to and approved by the relevant authorities.
State management agencies oversee operations at Dong Pho Moi Inland Port under the provisions of Decree No. 38/2017 and other relevant legal frameworks.
The Ministry of Transport has also assigned the Vietnam Maritime Administration to inspect and supervise the port’s activities to ensure regulatory compliance.
The project includes a comprehensive system of warehouses, container yards, integrated storage areas, internal roads, parking zones, and modern handling equipment. It is designed to handle up to 65,000 TEUs annually, employing advanced technology and an efficient investment model to meet regional economic and logistical demands.
The infrastructure comprises general warehouses, container yards, multi-purpose storage areas, internal road systems, vehicle staging zones, handling equipment, architectural structures, utility networks, perimeter fencing, and landscaped green spaces.
