V-Stainless Steel Establishes North-South Dual-Base System
Achieving Uniform Quality and Rapid Delivery Nationwide
V-Stainless Steel, a specialist in the sales and processing of stainless steel products, has established a dual-base system following the completion of its new factory in Hung Yen Province (Northern Vietnam) in July 2025, adding to its headquarters and factory in Dong Nai Province (Southern Vietnam). The company now operates a regular weekly truck service connecting the North and South, catering to a wide range of demands from Japanese enterprises to government agencies and local firms. Furthermore, there are plans to sequentially introduce state-of-the-art equipment, such as advanced rolling and polishing machines, at both facilities. By ensuring uniform quality and a stable supply, the company aims to enhance customer satisfaction on a national scale while maintaining rapid delivery times.
Northern Factory: Introduction of Levelers and Laser Cutting Machines
The newly constructed Northern factory, relocated from a rental warehouse, is situated within the Yen My 2 Industrial Park in Yen My District, Hung Yen Province—approximately 20 kilometers southeast of Hanoi. The site covers 10,000 square meters, matching the size of the Dong Nai headquarters, with a building area of 5,500 square meters. State-of-the-art levelers (straightening machines) and laser cutting machines will be installed sequentially within this facility. This transition allows the company to bring processes that were previously outsourced in-house, thereby expanding the range of products available for supply.
The leveler is a high-performance machine capable of handling thin stainless steel sheets with thicknesses ranging from 0.4 mm to 3.0 mm. It straightens and rolls coiled stainless steel into plates according to specific applications, meeting the rigorous demands for internal components of precision machinery and commercial equipment where even a single scratch is unacceptable. The primary advantage is the ability to reduce costs and shorten lead times through in-house production. Full-scale operation is scheduled to begin by August 2026.
Meanwhile, the laser cutting machine is planned to commence operations in November 2025. It is characterized by its ability to process large-format materials up to 50 mm thick, 6.5 m long, and 2.5 m wide—a specification that few companies in Vietnam possess. By internalizing this specialized field, the company has built a system to provide high-quality cut products to customers in a timely manner.
Southern Factory: Introduction of Thin-Plate Polishers and New Carbide Circular Saw Machines
Two new machines will also be introduced to the Southern factory at the headquarters. Located within the Nhon Trach 3 Industrial Park in Dong Nai Province, this facility expanded its site from 3,200 to 4,500 square meters in April 2022. Having solidified its foundation as the company’s primary production hub, the establishment of the dual-base system now allows for a strategic division of labor and the pursuit of new market demands.
The first addition is a polisher for thin plates that achieves high-precision surface quality. In the Southern market, centered around the industrial clusters of Ho Chi Minh City, demand for decorative applications—such as kitchenware and commercial kitchen equipment—is particularly high. Appearance quality, such as gloss, is a decisive factor in product value. Previously, many manufacturers performed polishing in-house after purchasing the raw materials. Moving forward, V-Stainless Steel will be able to provide high-grade stainless steel materials directly from the delivery stage, raising expectations for new customer acquisition. Installation is expected by August 2026.
The second machine is a carbide circular saw utilizing new technology. It instantaneously suppresses vibrations generated during the cutting of stainless steel, enabling high dimensional accuracy and high-speed cutting. This not only improves external quality and precision processing but also allows the company to address latent demands that could not be fully met previously. Full operation is planned for February 2026.
Operation of North-South Regular Shuttle Service
By efficiently combining the new machines at both sites with the existing plasma cutting machines at the Southern factory, the company has begun initiatives to realize uniform quality and rapid delivery across all of Vietnam. The cornerstone of this effort is the regular North-South shuttle service using trucks on a dedicated route. In a long, narrow country spanning approximately 1,700 kilometers, market characteristics and customer needs differ significantly between the North and South. A stable transportation system is essential. This logistics network enables complex orders that were previously difficult to handle independently, such as manufacturing thin plates at the Northern factory and applying a polished finish in the South. With a system that covers the entire country, sales activities are gaining significant momentum.
Driven by economic growth and recovery from the pandemic, the demand for stainless steel in Vietnam continues to expand. The company’s sales revenue, which stood at over 1.4 billion JPY in 2024, is projected to reach over 1.6 billion JPY (a 12% increase) in 2025. Sales volume is also expected to rise from 2,400 tons to 2,700 tons. Furthermore, the company has set a target for five years from now to establish a system with 3 billion JPY in sales revenue and a sales volume of 5,000 tons.
Leading this business expansion is General Director Yoichiro Omura, who took office in June 2025. With the full-scale operation of the Northern factory, he expressed his ambitions, stating, "I want to thoroughly tap into the new demands that we haven't been able to capture fully until now." He is among those eagerly awaiting the commencement of the new machinery's operations.
With bases now established in the two major cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, the company has set its next target on Central Vietnam. The most promising location is Da Nang, a centrally governed city that serves as a transit point for the North-South regular shuttle. While steadily proceeding with the introduction of new equipment, the company is also focusing efforts on creating a third base. "Ultimately, using Vietnam as a foothold, I want to expand our sales channels to Southeast Asian markets such as Thailand and Singapore," says Omura, showing strong motivation for growth.
