Currently, Binh Dinh Province hosts 10 Thai-invested projects with a total registered capital exceeding 106 million USD, focusing on industrial production, commerce, and services. Notable projects include the Binh Dinh Feed Factory by CP Group, with an investment of 36 million USD, and the Avani Quy Nhon Resort and Spa, with an investment of over 19.4 million USD. These projects have yielded positive results, contributing to job creation, improved income for residents, and the province’s overall development.

Thailand remains a key trade partner for Binh Dinh’s export and import businesses, with bilateral trade surpassing 5 million USD in the first 10 months of 2024.

Tourism collaboration between the two sides has also shown promising progress, enhancing the visibility of Binh Dinh’s tourism offerings among Thai travelers.

The cooperation between Thai businesses and Binh Dinh, though still in its early stages, has established a solid foundation for mutual understanding, trust, and a comprehensive partnership in the future.

Speaking at the conference, Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council of Binh Dinh, reaffirmed the province’s commitment to improving the investment environment and providing favorable conditions for businesses to invest and implement their projects with confidence.

He emphasized that the conference serves as a practical step toward fostering connections between businesses from Binh Dinh and Thailand while gathering investor feedback to refine policies and attract investments aligned with the province’s socio-economic goals.

“The combination of Binh Dinh’s potential and strengths with the resources and expertise of Thai investors, especially the success of existing projects, will form a robust foundation for a journey of opportunities and achievements for both sides. This conference marks the promising beginning of a new wave of Thai investments in Binh Dinh, benefiting both parties,” Ho Quoc Dung stated.

Vietnam and Thailand share geographical proximity and similarities in natural conditions, culture, and religion. Over nearly five decades of diplomatic relations, despite numerous challenges and global complexities, the two countries have made significant strides. In 2013, they became the first ASEAN nations to establish a “Strategic Partnership,” which was elevated to an “Enhanced Strategic Partnership” in 2015.

Today, Thailand is Vietnam’s largest trading partner within ASEAN and one of its top foreign investors.
