Kinh Bac to invest over 8,000 billion VND in an industrial park in Hai Phong

This decision was formalized in the investment policy document for the construction and operation of the Trang Due 3 Industrial Park infrastructure project, signed by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.

The project spans over 650 hectares across five communes in An Lao District, Hai Phong City, with a total investment of over VND 8 trillion.

Based on the 1:2000 zoning plan, the industrial park will consist of 28 designated zones and is expected to create 40,000–50,000 jobs. It will operate for 50 years and is designed as a comprehensive, multi-sector industrial park focusing on clean industries and high-tech industries.

The investor for the project is Saigon-Hai Phong Industrial Park Corporation, which also developed the first and second phases of Trang Due Industrial Park in Hai Phong. Both phases have already reached full occupancy.

Founded in July 2006, Saigon-Hai Phong Industrial Park Corporation is a subsidiary of Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC), which owns more than 89% of its shares. Kinh Bac is a key player in industrial infrastructure development, with notable projects such as Que Vo Industrial Park in Bac Ninh.

The industrial real estate segment has maintained its growth momentum and continued to lead the market in recent years. By 2025, the supply in this segment is expected to increase significantly, as many industrial parks are approved and begin construction nationwide. According to Avison Young, industrial land rental prices in key northern and southern markets could rise by 2–5% per quarter.

According to the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority, the city currently has one economic zone, Dinh Vu-Cat Hai, and 14 industrial parks, collectively spanning over 6,000 hectares. These industrial parks have an average occupancy rate of 70%.

In recent years, Hai Phong has consistently attracted major global corporations such as LG, Pegatron, USI, Bridgestone, and SK. By the end of November 2024, the city had attracted 1,000 FDI projects from 40 countries and territories, with a total investment of over 32 billion USD, accounting for 7% of Vietnam’s total FDI. Hai Phong's FDI inflows in 2024 are estimated to exceed 4 billion USD.
