Inauguration of Li-ion and Ni-MH Battery Factory at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Hai Phong

On the morning of January 17, the inauguration ceremony for the Li-ion and Ni-MH battery manufacturing factory by Exquisite Power Vietnam Co., Ltd. took place at Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park, Hai Phong City.

Speaking at the event, Mr Le Trung Kien, head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Authority, stated: "Since the Li-ion and Ni-MH battery assembly project was granted its investment registration certificate in July 2023, following a swift and safe construction, installation, and commissioning process, the plant of Exquisite Power Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. has officially been inaugurated today. This milestone highlights the successful development journey of the investor in Hai Phong City."  

The project's primary goal is to produce Li-ion and Ni-MH batteries, covering an area of 13,650-square-meter with a total inestment of USD 20 million in Nam Dinh Vu Industrial Park. This initiative not only aims to meet the growing global and domestic market demand but also contributes to economic restructuring, creates numerous employment opportunities for local workers, ensures social welfare, and generates income for employees.

Mr Vincent, General Director of Exquisite Power Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd., shared: In July 2023, Highpower Technology Group decided to build a factory in Vietnam and established Exquisite Power Vietnam Technology Co., Ltd. This decision reflects confidence in the local market’s growth potential and the prospects for business expansion, as well as a positive response to regional economic integration trends.

In the future, Exquisite Power Vietnam plans to establish additional manufacturing facilities abroad to meet global customer demand, enhance production capabilities from battery cells to battery packs in international regions, and further expand its operations in Vietnam.

"The establishment of this plant in Vietnam is not only part of the company’s international development strategy but also carries a vital mission of optimizing upstream and downstream supply chains and enhancing global supply capabilities. Looking ahead, Mr Le Trung Kien urged the investor to build on the achievements, intensify effective and sustainable operations, and actively collaborate with the city in workforce training and social welfare activities for workers.  

Specifically, Mr Kien recommended that Exquisite Power Vietnam research and adopt advanced, environmentally friendly technologies in production, aiming to reduce emissions and join Hai Phong City on its journey toward green transformation in industrial production.
