The Nam Dinh Provincial People’s Committee has officially approved the establishment of two industrial clusters, Thang Cuong and My Thuan, following pre-approved development plans.
The Thang Cuong industrial cluster spans 75 hectares across Yen Thang and Yen Cuong communes in Y Yen district, Nam Dinh province. Its primary industrial activities will include machinery manufacturing, supporting industries, agricultural and food processing, pharmaceutical production, automobile parts manufacturing, electronics and electrical equipment assembly, and other processing and manufacturing industries.
Bateco Thang Cuong Joint Stock Company is the developer responsible for building the infrastructure for the Thang Cuong cluster. The total investment is approximately 1.03 trillion VND, with the company's equity accounting for 17.47% of the total capital. The project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the date of land handover.
The My Thuan industrial cluster will be developed in My Thuan commune, Nam Dinh city, Nam Dinh province. Its key industrial sectors include high-tech mechanical engineering, automobile and motorcycle manufacturing and assembly, high-tech electrical and electronic equipment production, food processing, construction materials, handicrafts, wood processing, household goods production, plastic product manufacturing, and other supporting industries. The cluster aims to attract large enterprises with modern, environmentally friendly technology.
Thinh Vuong My Loc Joint Stock Company will oversee the infrastructure development for the My Thuan cluster. The total investment exceeds 929 billion VND, with 15% (over 139 billion VND) sourced from company equity and 85% (over 790 billion VND) financed through credit institutions. The project timeline is also set at 24 months from the date of land handover.
According to the approved industrial cluster development plan and Nam Dinh’s provincial planning for 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, the province expects to have 54 industrial clusters by 2030, covering approximately 5,969 hectares. From 2031 to 2050, several clusters will be expanded, increasing the total industrial cluster area to 8,703 hectares.
Nam Dinh will continue its industrial cluster development strategy as outlined in Decision No. 630/QD-UBND, which approved and updated the province's industrial cluster development plan through 2020, with a vision to 2025. Large-scale projects with significant growth potential are planned to transition into full industrial zones.
