Vietnam has been chosen as the first Southeast Asian country where the German polyurethane (PU) manufacturing giant, Pearl Group, will establish a production plant.
With the strong growth prospects and increasing demand for products made from polyurethane (PU), prepolymers, and polyester resins in Southeast Asia, Pearl Group selected Vietnam as its production hub for its entire Southeast Asian business operations.
This morning (October 10), the group inaugurated its first factory at An Phuoc Industrial Zone, located in An Phuoc Commune, Long Thanh District, Dong Nai Province.
This area is recognized as one of the most conveniently connected locations, bordering Ho Chi Minh City and Vung Tau. The factory is situated just 8 kilometers from Long Thanh International Airport and 45 kilometers from the Cai Mep-Thi Vai International Deepwater Port Complex (Ba Ria-Vung Tau).
These advantages provide significant benefits for domestic supply and export activities, ensuring abundant supply for the entire Asia-Pacific region.
The factory specializes in advanced mixing and prepolymer production, with the capability to produce a wide range of polyol formulations, meeting the growing demands of industries such as construction, household appliances, metal sheets, footwear, soft packaging, and polyurea.

According to Martin Kruczinna, CEO of Pearl Group, Vietnam's dynamic business environment, along with its strategic location and favorable policies for businesses, makes it an ideal site for accessing neighboring markets like Thailand, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Australia, with potential future supply to South Korea and Japan.
Björn Koslowski, Deputy Chief Representative of the German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), praised Pearl Group’s commitment to fostering Germany-Vietnam partnerships and promoting sustainable growth. He emphasized that their presence strengthens cooperation between the two nations, encourages investment in Vietnam, and reinforces Vietnam's role in the regional supply chain, contributing to the local economy and driving industrial innovation in Southeast Asia.
Following Pearl Group’s opening of its fourth production facility in Saudi Arabia in November 2023, the establishment of this factory in Vietnam further solidified the company’s global expansion strategy.
The Vietnam factory is expected to become a crucial supply bridge for customers needing PU materials in India, shortening delivery times compared to China, Japan, and South Korea, while also benefiting from FTAs between the two regions.
