In the Environmental Impact Assessment report currently under review by the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Shunsin Technology Vietnam Co., Ltd. stated that it would contribute $20 million to the project. Additionally, $60 million, equivalent to 75% of the total investment, will come from loans and external capital.

The project's objective is to manufacture and process electronic components (integrated circuit boards) with a total production capacity of 4.5 million units per year. All products will be exported to the United States, the European Union (EU), and Japan.

An integrated circuit (IC), also known as a chip, is a collection of circuits containing semiconductor components such as transistors, resistors, and capacitors, designed to perform specific functions. Shunsin Technology Vietnam plans to complete the required procedures, including obtaining construction permits, by December. The project will then proceed with construction and equipment installation, aiming for completion by May 2026. Trial operations are scheduled to begin in June 2026, with full-scale production starting in December 2026.

The project covers a total planned area of 44,343.8 square meters within the Quang Chau Industrial Park, leased from Saigon – Bac Giang Industrial Park Corporation, a subsidiary of Kinh Bac City Development Corporation (KBC), a major player in industrial real estate. At full operational capacity, the project is expected to require approximately 1,450 employees, including 35 foreign workers.

Foxconn, the world’s largest contract manufacturer of electronic components and computers, is based in Taiwan. The corporation is shifting its investment focus and expanding production in Vietnam. In a report submitted to Bac Giang Province, Foxconn expressed its intention to increase its investments there.

Foxconn began constructing facilities in Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, and other Vietnamese provinces in March 2007, producing various products, including computers, information technology products, consumer electronics, automotive components, and semiconductor devices.

In July of this year, Foxconn also invested $550 million to launch two new projects in Quang Ninh, including a smart entertainment product project in the AMATA Song Khoai Industrial Park and a smart systems project in DEEP C Quang Ninh II.
