On April 18th, China's leading display manufacturer, BOE Technology Group, began construction of the second phase of its terminal equipment manufacturing plant at Phu My 3 Industrial Park (Phu My Town, Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province).
The project aims to assemble and produce high-resolution TVs, computer screens, electronic components, and plastic components (used in the manufacture of TVs and computer screens) with an annual production capacity of 134.7 million units. The total investment is approximately $275 million.
Once the second phase of the plant is operational, annual production is expected to reach approximately $1 billion and create more than 4,000 jobs.
Founded in 1993, BOE Technology Group is a leading Chinese display manufacturer, mainly producing LCD and OLED displays.
The company entered Vietnam in 2019. So far, it has operated a factory in Nhon Trach II Industrial Park in Dong Nai Province to produce and sell TVs, monitors, electronic shelves.
