On May 7, 2024, at the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Japan, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu received a delegation from the Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Deputy Secretary and Chairman of the Ha Giang Provincial People’s Committee.
During the meeting, Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu expressed his admiration for the potential and strengths of Ha Giang Province in collaborating with Japan in various aspects. The Dong Van Stone Plateau, which has been recognized by UNESCO as a UNESCO Global Geological Park, is a remarkable highlight of Ha Giang province. It boasts unique cultural, historical, and geological values and a majestic landscape. Many localities and Japanese organizations are interested in it and wish to expand exchanges and cooperation. The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan will continue to act as a bridge to implement the cooperation of Ha Giang province with Japanese localities, organizations, and programs in the fields of the province in need.

Chairman of Ha Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Son introduced the socio-economic situation of the province in the past time and the contents of the province are cooperating with Japanese partners; wishes that the Embassy of Vietnam in Japan support the province to connect and promote Japanese businesses, corporations, organizations and investor associations about the potential, advantages, investment preferential policies of Ha Giang province; priority areas call for investment, and export promotion importing the province's endemic products to the Japanese market as well as cooperation programs to train human resources, especially high-quality human resources, labor export cooperation programs.
