On the morning of May 19th, the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee commenced the construction of the North-South railway overpass and the two-way road on the East-West Boulevard, with a total investment of over 647 billion VND.
The project was constructed to enhance traffic safety along the North-South railway and to fully and comprehensively invest in the East-West Avenue route as planned. This investment aims to strengthen transportation connections in the area, linking with the main urban axis route and Rung Thong town, while also creating a connecting road from National Highway 45 to National Highway 1.
The project is comprised of 16 bidding packages, with package No. 16 being the largest involving construction and construction insurance (worth more than 518 billion VND). The construction period for the project is over 13 months, and it is expected to be completed by July 2025.
Based on the design, the bridge is constructed using concrete. The bridge has a total width of 25 meters, accommodating 4 lanes for general traffic and 2 lanes for mixed vehicles. It serves as a vital connection point between Trinh Kiem Street and East-West Avenue, as well as neighboring traffic routes.
