On April 17, 2023, VinFast declared that it had successfully exported 1,879 VF8 cars to the US and Canada as part of the second batch. According to the schedule, the shipment will dock and be ready to hand over to US customers in May and Canadian customers in June.
At 23:00 on April 16, 2023, the Silver Queen ship carrying 1,879 VinFast VF8 cars exported to North America officially left MPC Port (Hai Phong). Expectedly, after more than 20 days of travel, the ship will dock at Benicia port (California, USA) to hand over 1,098 cars to the US market and will continue to transport the remaining 781 cars to Canada.
This is the second batch of VF8 cars and also the first batch of standard cars for export, with the Eco and Plus versions having higher EPA travel distance parameters than the City Edition version delivered in the US.
For the European market, the first batch of VF8 is expected to be exported by VinFast in mid-July 2023, with a quantity of approximately 700 units.
While producing and transporting cars to the international market, VinFast is also continuously expanding its business network globally. Currently, in addition to the Vietnamese market, VinFast has opened over 30 stores and service workshops in the United States, Canada, Germany, France, and the Netherlands, preparing to sell smart electric vehicles exported from Vietnam.
In the domestic market, VinFast officially delivered VF9 to customers on March 27, 2023. It is expected that VinFast will continue to deliver VF5 Plus in April 2023.
On a global scale, VinFast will soon launch two models, the VF6 and VF7, and plans to export the VF9 to pre-ordered customers.
