He called on South Korean investors to increase their investment in Vietnam's startup ecosystem. Deputy Minister Hoang Minh noted that Vietnam currently has over 4,000 startups, including three unicorns and more than 10 companies that have raised over 100 million USD. These are important strides affirming Vietnam's attractiveness as a strategic investment destination in technology and startups.
Representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology also invited South Korean investors to participate in Techfest, currently taking place in Daejeon, where innovative Vietnamese startups are showcasing their advanced technological products. Deputy Minister Hoang Minh also shared plans to organize the National Innovative Startup Festival in Hai Phong in November 2024.
According to the MOU between the Vietnam Network of Higher Education Innovation Entrepreneurship Center (VNEI) and the Daejeon Center for Creative Economy and Innovation (DCCEI), the two organizations will collaborate on startup support activities. These include planning and participating in official events, providing information to expand business opportunities, supporting industry visits, and implementing joint projects to enhance the global capacity of startups.
