On May 30, 2023, Saigon Hi-Tech Park (SHTP) - the leading park in high-tech connectivity in Vietnam, and Cadence Company - the world's leading company in the field of IC design and electronic systems, signed a cooperation agreement to develop human resources in the field of electronics and promote the development of the semiconductor chip industry in Vietnam.

Under the cooperation agreement, Cadence would like to have the opportunity to provide IC design software tools and related training programs to universities in Ho Chi Minh City through the Cadence Academic Network.
In particular, the cooperation is also aimed at helping students gain practical experience in circuit design and testing as well as learn how to solve technical problems in IC design, PCB (circuit board) design and complete processes in semiconductor IC design and manufacture.

Appreciating the cooperation between the two units, Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee hopes that the implementation of cooperation programs will mobilize international resources, serving the goal of developing Vietnam's semiconductor industry.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Thi - Head of the Management Board of Saigon Hi-Tech Park in Ho Chi Minh City, this cooperation program will create opportunities for students to access the latest technology and methods in IC design - electronic system design, and at the same time gain practical experience to achieve success in the field of electronics, microchips.

By providing access to Cadence software, Mr. Michael Shih hopes to provide future generations of engineers with the necessary skills that will contribute to the development of high technology in Vietnam.
Immediately after the signing ceremony, the representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ho Chi Minh City visited the SHTP Chip Design Center (SCDC) and the first International Electronics Training Center (IETC) according to international standards in Vietnam at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park.
