German tape maker tesa opens 55 million euros factory in Hai Phong

(HPĐT)- On the afternoon of October 12, tesa Site Hai Phong Co., Ltd. held the inauguration ceremony of the factory at DEEP C2B Industrial Park. Attending were Mr. Guido Hilner, German Ambassador to Vietnam; Mr. Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches and units of the city.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Trung Kien, Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board congratulated tesa Site Hai Phong Company on quickly completing and putting the machine into operation, contributing to the development of the city, creating jobs for employees. Affirming that Hai Phong's development space is very open with the proposal to establish a Southern Coastal Economic Zone and many new industrial parks, he asked the German Ambassador to Vietnam to continue to pay attention and support Hai Phong in areas such as: energy conversion, green and renewable energy development, vocational training and education, digital transformation, manufacturing industry, etc. and at the same time calling on German businesses and investors to come and invest in new projects in the city City, forming an ecosystem of German businesses in Hai Phong. The Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone is ready to accompany and create all favorable conditions for investors to achieve a lot of success and efficiency in the city.

Tesa is the world's leading manufacturer of adhesive tapes and adhesive solutions. The construction of the factory in Hai Phong aims to flexibly meet the rapidly growing needs of the Asian market, especially in the automotive and electronics industries. The Tesa factory in Hai Phong has a total investment of 55 million euros, with a capacity of up to 40 million m2 of adhesive tape per year.
