In Q1, the Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board completed procedures to issue new investment registration certificates for 15 projects and adjust to increase capital for 14 projects. The total newly registered and increased investment capital was 251.13 million USD in FDI and nearly 1,419 billion VND in domestic investment (DDI).

Specifically, the province granted 11 new FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of nearly 136 million USD, adjusted to increase capital for 10 projects with an additional capital of more than 115 million USD. The total newly registered investment capital in Q1 was more than 251 million USD, reaching 144% of investment capital compared to the same period in 2023 and reaching 72% of the 2024 plan.

The traditional investment countries in Vinh Phuc province were still Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.

Of which, Korea was the largest investing country with 170.02 million USD, accounting for 49.03% of the total registered capital. There were 22/25 projects with 257.13 million USD invested in the fields prioritized to develop and promote investment attraction, which is the processing and manufacturing industry, contributing to achieving the goal of making Vinh Phuc an industrial province in a modern direction.

In contrast, the Vinh Phuc Industrial Zones Management Board carried out procedures to terminate the operation of 3 FDI projects with a total registered investment capital of 10.7 million USD and 1 DDI project with a total registered investment capital of nearly 112 billion VND at the request of the investor. Also, adjusted to reduce capital for 1 FDI project with a reduced capital of 13 million USD.

According to the plan, by 2024, Vinh Phuc aims to attract investment of more than 400 million USD in FDI capital, bringing the total FDI invested in the province to over 8.4 billion USD; attracting over 5,000 billion VND in DDI capital, bringing the total DDI and the provincial investment to over 145,000 billion VND.
